We’re excited to invite local employers and contractors to take part in the Net-Zero Contractor Challenge 2025—a flagship initiative supporting young Lambeth residents aged 16–30 who face barriers to employment, including those who are NEET, care-experienced, or involved in youth justice.

Now in its fourth year, the programme has already supported hundreds of young people to gain hands-on experience, industry insight, and pathways into construction and the built environment. This year, we’re proud to align the programme with Lambeth’s Net Zero 2030 goals, highlighting the green skills and climate-conscious careers shaping our borough’s future.

🛠️ How You Can Get Involved:

We’re looking for employers and contractors to host or support activities between 4–29 August 2025, including:

• 👷 Site visits with a sustainability focus
• 🔧 Taster sessions (e.g. low-carbon construction, retrofitting, green tech)
• 💼 Entry-level vacancies and apprenticeship fair
• 📄 Employability workshops (CVs, interviews, health & safety)
• 🎤 Talks and Q&As with relatable professionals or apprentices

Your involvement directly supports local young people and contributes to your Section 106 and social value commitments. Every activity counts toward your targets while building a more inclusive, climate-resilient workforce.
