About the Programme:
The Business Startup Support Programme is part of the Boosting Life Sciences Social Economy (BLSSE) initiative. Led by the London Boroughs of Camden, Hackney, Hammersmith and Fulham, Islington, Lambeth, Southwark, Tower Hamlets, and MedCity, this collaborative effort aims to boost diversity within the expanding health and life sciences social economy.
We offer personalised and comprehensive support to at least 25 registered, early-stage social businesses and entrepreneurs in the health, wellbeing, and social care sector from the 7 London boroughs.
What We Offer:
Our programme provides a unique blend of group and one-on-one services tailored to meet diverse needs:
- Information, Advice, and Guidance (IAG) Support: 7 hours of expert guidance through Open Days and Induction sessions.
- Guided Learning Support: 17.5 hours of group training on key business topics.
- Personalised Business Coaching: 5 hours of one-on-one coaching to build confidence and strong foundations.
- Networking and Peer Support: 4 hours of networking opportunities through 2 conferences/events.
Eligibility Criteria:
To be considered, applicants must:
- Reside or work in one of the seven London boroughs (Camden, Hackney, Hammersmith & Fulham, Islington, Lambeth, Southwark, Tower Hamlets).
- Develop and/or run a community or social enterprise in the health, wellbeing, and social care sector.
- Focus on improving healthcare provisions, addressing healthcare issues in underserved communities, promoting mental health awareness, fostering healthy living, and more.
