We’re inviting employers to take part in a two-part initiative designed to connect with and recruit talented young people aged 16–30. Delivered in partnership with The Skills Spot and Unity Works, and supported by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), this initiative offers a unique opportunity to access a motivated, diverse, and capable talent pool.

This is your chance to meet enthusiastic young candidates, gain fresh perspectives, and discover individuals with the creativity, problem-solving ability, and resilience that can enhance your workforce.

🧠Part 1: Preparing to Engage

Online Workshop for Employers
Led by Unity Works and DWP

This virtual session is designed to help employers confidently and effectively engage with young people throughout the recruitment process.

In this workshop, you will:

• Gain insight into a range of learning disabilities and neurodivergent profiles
• Learn practical strategies for inclusive and accessible interviews
• Explore the benefits of building neurodiverse teams
• Reflect on current practices in a supportive, non-judgemental space

Who should attend:
Hiring managers, line managers, HR staff, and anyone involved in recruitment.
Attendance is strongly encouraged for all employers planning to exhibit at the Careers Fair.

🤝Part 2: Careers Fair and Networking Event

In-Person Event at The Skills Spot

This will be a friendly and supportive environment for employers to connect directly with young people who are eager to explore job opportunities, showcase their strengths, and ask informed questions about the world of work.

We’re seeking employers who can:

• Exhibit current or upcoming vacancies
• Speak about roles, career pathways, and workplace culture
• Commit to viewing these young people as serious candidates

This is a valuable opportunity to diversify your talent pipeline and strengthen inclusive hiring practices.
