Careers for Women in Construction:
A Powerful Day at Lambeth Town Hall
Published 17 Jun 2025 by BeLambeth
On May 27, Lambeth Town Hall came alive with ambition, inspiration, and opportunity as we proudly hosted the Careers for Women in Construction event. In partnership with Vistry, MTVH, and Women into Construction, this free event welcomed women of all ages to explore career paths in the construction industry. Attendees connected with industry professionals, heard powerful stories from on-site apprentices and panelists, and learned about real-time job, apprenticeship, and training opportunities. The energy was electric — a true celebration of inclusion, empowerment, and change. “I’m very proud to be here today to meet so many lovely ladies at Lambeth Town Hall. I’ve been a Lambeth resident for the last 22 years, so it means a lot to be here and make a difference.” — Joanne Chau, High Speed Two (HS2) Panel Guest “It’s been an absolute wonderful event. We’re really impressed with the amount of attendance and engagement from the audience and panel members. It’s been a great success.” — Jamie Wilding, Development Director, Vistry Group “Today has been incredible! So glad to be here amongst such powerful women and it’s been great to learn more about construction that’s centred by us.” — Lambeth Resident As a borough, we are committed to fostering inclusive career opportunities and breaking down traditional barriers. Thank you to everyone who participated and made the event such a success! Stay tuned for more events and initiatives supporting women into the workforce. |
