Lambeth Living Wage Place & Living Wage Business Grant
Lambeth Council is on a journey to become a Living Wage Place, awarded to places making the Living Wage a norm.
Lambeth Council is on a journey to become a Living Wage Place, a recognition that is awarded to places to address in-work poverty by making the Living Wage a norm.
We are proudly launching our Living Wage Place & Business Grant initiative to demonstrate our commitment to ensuring local businesses are supported to become London Living Wage employers. The Living Wage is an hourly wage rate that reflects actual costs of living, by paying the Living Wage, employers make a commitment to pay a rate that covers actual costs of living, which is good for people and your business cause employees feel more valued and in turn this would increase productivity at work, employee retention and more.
We are offering free 3 years accreditation grant to non-registered London Living Wage employers with over 250 employees, within the Lambeth borough. The main goal is to raise awareness and visibility for our London Living Wage mission and encourage accreditations with the Living Wage foundation to maximise our initiative in becoming a Living wage Place.
The Living Wage Business Grant initiative will be launched on the 17th of October 2023 at the Foundry Office space and Conference Centre, with a breakfast set up, some goody bags and friendly staff available during the launch to help with any general enquires.
